Technical Quality Assurance Analyst - Level II

Position Overview

As a Technical Quality Assurance Analyst - Level II, you will be responsible for utilization of test automation tools to assist with the validation of development projects. Your responsibilities will include managing multiple projects simultaneously, preparing and execution of test plans, along with a heavy emphasis on completing project tasks with automated tools to gain efficiencies. In this role, you will be expected to contribute to the organization’s overall planning efforts for test automation and tool utilization along with helping to monitor and manage the test environment. We will rely on you to perform functional, regression, integration testing, performance testing, and evaluation of additional tools will be required on an as needed basis. As our Technical Quality Assurance Analyst, you will be expected to identify opportunities for process improvement and/or procedural changes, as well as train and share knowledge with other members of the team. A high degree of technical skill is required for this position as you will be working closely with the development team and reporting to the Director of Quality Assurance.


  • Prepare test plans to validate and support new features and enhancements with an emphasis on the utilization of automated test tools to complete tasks
  • Proficient in the use of test automation tools such as UFT, Jenkins, tsqlt, or other tools which require a high degree of technical knowledge
  • Maintain appropriate level of documentation for all project work
  • Ability to identify opportunities for improvement within PayNet's existing development and test processes and make recommendations to gain efficiencies as appropriate
  • Perform integration and performance testing as needed
  • Ability to evaluate other technical solutions and implement new solutions to gain overall efficiency
  • Monitor and/or manage the test environment to ensure sufficient capacity to support multiple teams
  • Perform manual testing as needed, including the creation of all related test artifacts
  • Track, manage and retest defects to ensure issues have been resolved
  • Work closely with development and business users to complete projects on time



  • 5+ years of software quality assurance experience with an emphasis on working with test automation tools (UFT, JMeter, Jenkins, GIT, QC, T-SQLT etc.)
  • High degree of proficiency creating test plans, cases, defect reports is required
  • SQL skills and VB Script knowledge is a must; C++ and/or Perl knowledge is a plus
  • Proficiency in a variety of test practices including functional, regression, integration, performance and system testing is required
  • Solid understanding of test environment management and change control responsibilities
  • Strong attention to detail with outstanding problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team of both technical and non-technical colleagues
  • A high energy level, sense of urgency and the initiative to solve problems and overcome roadblocks
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor of Science degree in MIS, Computer Science, Math, Statistics, other related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Prior work experience in the Financial Industries sector (Banking, Commercial Finance, Credit Reporting, etc.) is preferred
