Account Manager

Position Overview

The Account Manager will be responsible for the sales lifecycle of designated accounts, interfacing directly with the credit and risk management departments of commercial lenders including banks. As a strategic partner with our clients, you will work with them to maintain customer retention, identify enhanced product delivery methods, and additional product offerings. Successful performance in this role may lead to promotional opportunities to more senior sales positions, as our company and sales team continue to grow. Key responsibilities and accountabilities include:

  • Retention and growth of existing account assignments
  • Creating and implementing sales plans for customers
  • Identify key decision makers and cultivate relationships with senior executives
  • Utilize a consultative sales approach to:
    • Identify and create dialogue with senior level management
    • Identify main business issues working with your contacts
    • Develop value propositions that solve customers’ business issues
    • Develop a buying “vision” for senior management
    • Interface with technical and analytical people to deliver solutions
  • Create and make presentations to small groups
  • Populate and maintain customer contact information in our CRM system
  • Maintain high activity and call levels


About You

  • 1-3 years sales/business development experience in non-retail, non-mortgage products
  • BA/BS degree required
  • Demonstrated success with consultative selling approach and account development
  • Experience in managing accounts within the Banking industry
  • Excellent communication (written and presentation) skills with the ability to deliver clear and concise messages and presentations in a professional manner
  • The ability to thrive in high pressure, fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Track records of success in over-achieving goals, building relationships, and running major projects
  • A self-starting, team-oriented, and innovative attitude focused on consistently delivering high quality results
  • The ability to contribute and foster creative ideas
  • Administrative effectiveness in tracking prospects, follow-up on calls, and recording prospect contact information and interactions
  • Computer skills: must be adept in use of: MS Office 2007, particularly Excel and Word, sales contact management applications (e.g., ACT,, etc).



Travel is limited to day trips and attendance at industry events is not required.


Commensurate with the responsibilities and duties described above, our client will provide a competitive compensation package that includes a base salary, unlimited commissions subject to achievement of company goals and agreed upon objectives.
